While the legendary Domaine Comtes Lafon often steals the spotlight, the Lafon family has been doing exceptional work in the under-appreciated region of Mâconnais in the southern part of Burgundy for more than 20 years.
During the 1970s and ‘80s the area was most famous for producing ‘white Burgundy’ in bulk at unsustainably low prices. However, when Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon was established in 1999 by Dominique Lafon, the area completely changed and began to value hands-on work in the vineyards and making wine with a deeper understanding and respect for the terroir.
Dominique’s daughter Léa and nephew Pierre are the new faces of the domaine, and we are incredibly happy to be working with such an amazing family who are creating a change for the better.

Orginally from Cadiz, her love for the Mencía grape brought her to Bierzo in Galicia, Spain. Since then, Veronica has quickly become a reference winemaker in the region as she balances between the classic and natural expression of Bierzo. Veronica has worked in several places throughout Europe before settling in Valtuille de Abajo in 2012. here, she worked alongside Raúl Pérez in his winery where she made her first couple vintages until moving into her own winery.
Pedro began making wines in the green and lush Salnés Valley (located just west of Pontevedra in Galicia) in 2015, recovering abandoned vineyards in the area.
