Bodega Chacra
Chacra was created by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in 2004 with the intention of finding the most unobstructed expression of the climate, micro-climate and terrior of Mainqué in the Río Negro region of Patagonia.
Location: La Seca, Valladolid, Espanha
The Cantalapiedra family has made wine from several generations in the municipality of La Seca, half an hour southwest of Valladolid in Castilla y Leon; heart of the Rueda appellation. There are records of the Cantalapiedras’ grape-growing dating to the 19th century, but the current version of the domaine can be traced directly to the year 1949, when the grandfather, Heliodoro, planted his first vineyard plot at young age of 15. For many years, Heliodoro’s son Isaac worked alongside him, and together they now farm 20 hectare, all certified organic. In the past they sold the majority of their grapes to the large cooperatives in the area, but since 2014, they have farmed and bottled their own wines at the estate.
The family strives to go beyond organic, and incorporate many biodynamic practices into their viticulture. This is the mindset of a producers that is first and foremost a farmer, and something they take pride in. In the cellar, Manuel uses wild yeasts for fermentation, minimal amounts of sulfur, and no other additions.

Bernardo Estévez came into winemaking after having worked as a mechanic in the large city of Vigo on the Spanish west coast. He moved to Arnoia, a small town in southern Ribeiro close to the Portuguese border in 2009 to pursue making wine full time. Now, Bernardo farms 3ha of vines in five areas of Ribeiro – all by him self. The work is organic and biodynamic, applying treatments and infusions that he makes at home.
Fabrice studied enology in Beaune before fine tuning his skills as a winemaker at the Cooperative of Pupillin. He started working at Domaine de Saint Pierre in 1989 as a manager and took full control in 2011. The Domaine achieved organic certification in 2012, having started conversion in 2002.
