Eric Dhondt and Edith Grellet founded Domaine Dhondt-Grellet in 1986 after they decided to stop selling their grapes to the negotiants in Champagne. Now, their son Adrien (pictured here) is running the domaine together with his sister, Alice.
The family farms 6ha of calcareous-rich, south facing vineyards in Côte des Blancs, Cramant, Cuis and Vallée de la Marne where the vines average 45 years of age. Adrian has been implementing biodynamic standards since 2013, and the approach to the winemaking is as hands-off as possible. This creates airy wines with richness and length, which we absolutely adore.
The future is looking very bright for Adrien and Domaine Dhondt-Grellet, and we are incredibly happy to work with them here in Portugal.

The Savart estate is located 10 kilometers west of Reims, at Ecueil near Montagne de Reims. Here, Frederic has taken over his father’s vineyard consisting of 4ha of Pinot Noir and a touch of Chardonnay. His philosophy in the vineyards is to prevent disease as much as possible, rather than treat it. He prefers a holistic approach, creating an environment within which the plant is better equipped to resist malady on its own.
Maxime Graillot, a larger-than-life vigneron (and son of legendary winemaker Alain Graillot), has the same innovative and forward-thinking spirit as his father. In 2004, to cement the family’s name in the Northern Rhône, Maxime managed to acquire quite a few vineyards situated in the Beaumont-Monteux commune of Crozes-Hermitage.
One of the few wine producing domaines left in the small village of Montaigu in the southern part of the Jura in France. They have been practicing organic and biodynamic farming since the late 1990s.
