Bodega Chacra

Chacra was created by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in 2004 with the intention of finding the most unobstructed expression of the climate, micro-climate and terrior of Mainqué in the Río Negro region of Patagonia.

Piero is the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of Sassacaia. His grandfather inspired Piero by teaching him about the fundamental principles behind both biodynamic and sustainable farming and the overall importance of keeping in contact with nature. This has helped Piero create a winery and a style that exists outside of the usual New World vs. Old World debate and is redefining what is possible with not only Pinot Noir, but Chardonnay and Malbec as well.

Sin Azufre ’20

From one of the most revolutionary wineries in South America. This is 100% Pinot Noir fermented in concrete tanks. The free-run juice is transferred to oak barrels where it spends 11 months which gives the wine a clear, fresh and juicy expression. No chemicals added, no filtering.
Mainqué - Bodega Chacra,

Mainqué ’20

100% Chardonnay from the cool climate area of Maniqué. Done in collaboration with Jean-Marc Roulot. The grapes were picked early to maintain acidity. Fermented in barrel without malolactic, it afterwards spends 11 months in both concrete eggs and French oak barrels. Do you like the wines from Roulot, well… here you go.
