Syrah from several plots throughout the Côte-Rôtie. Somewhat traditional vinification, including wild yeast fermentation. Grapes are generally not destemmed. Maceration often lasts between 7-20 days depending on vintage. Aged in barrels (10% new) for about a year. The name refers to the area, Ampuis, around which the vines are planted.
