Stéphane Derenoncourt is a self-taught winemaker who grew up in northern France and is currently one of the most sought-after consultants in the biz. Together with his wife Christine, they established Domaine de l’A in 1999 – a project that represents 10.5 hectares in the Castillon appellation of Bordeaux. Both free thinkers, Domaine de l’A is a culmination of their ideas on vine growing and how to best express their terroir through an uncompromising approach to biodynamic cultivation. Their wines are dense, complex, elegant and precise.
