One of the Jura's few women vignerons, Marie-Pierre Chevassu-Fassenet works her vines around Chateau-Chalon, the region's most traditional heartland. She trained in Beaune and Dijon and made wine in New Zealand before taking the reins of the family estate, which she now runs single-handed from vine to cellar. Expect pure, full-fruited reds and whites raised the old Jura way in seasoned barrels.
