Relatively new on the block, the Domaine de Vernus (est. 2019) represents a fusion of passion and expertise, a collaboration between former insurance broker Frédéric Jametton and renowned winemaker Guillaume Rouget. Located in the hillside town of Régnié-Durette and spanning 12 meticulously selected hectares, the domain boasts panoramic views of Mont Brouilly and the Beaujolais landscape. This team embodies a contemporary approach to winemaking rooted in Burgundian traditions (NOT Beaujolais’s semi-carbonic maceration) that results in a range of exceptional red wines that authentically reflect their terroir. Expect Beaujolais greenness combined with Burgundy suaveness.
