Benjamin Benoît, the audacious young winemaker from Jura, is shaking up the scene with his bold approach to traditional varietals. At just 23, this third-generation vintner took the reins of his family's estate in 2019, transforming it from a humble grape supplier to a boutique winery producing some of the region's most coveted bottles. With a cheeky nod to his Burgundian mentors, Benjamin has introduced organic farming and artisanal techniques that are pushing boundaries and raising eyebrows. His tiny 6-hectare plot is a playground for experimentation, where Chardonnay, Savagnin, Ploussard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir grapes are coaxed into expressive, site-specific wines that are causing quite the stir among wine lovers and critics alike.
